Belknap Collection, Theatre 1943-1988 ca. 1958 : U.S. Army Special Services & U.S.O.

This collection contains schedules, photographs, clippings, newsletters, correspondence, pamphlets, posters and flyers from the US Army Special Services Division's theatrical unit generally from around 1958. The photographs have copious notes on the back and document many plays performed as well as highlighting dancers and singers from within the military who entertained during the 1958 season. There are a few items from before 1958 and several afterwards plus a packet of promotional materials from the U.S.O. dated 1988. The packet has pamphlets, newsletters and numerous clippings about the history of the U.S.O.
